BIOGRAPHY

Alex is inspired by the coast….the colours and textures and she tries to capture this and childhood memories of hunting for sea treasure in her textile artwork. Alex combines watercolour illustrations with stitch to create structural coastal compositions. A shell, or stone might initiate a piece and she uses these ‘found’ objects in her work, with a focus on re-purposing using vintage fabrics and embellishments.
