2022 has seen Suffolk Art Society run three exhibitions in 2022. We were delighted to return to Bury Cathedral in October for the Autumn Exhibition. The Spring and Summer exhibitions in Lavenham and Long Melford also proved a great success.

Over the year we have sold 293 artworks ! All three exhibitions exceeded our expectations and bucked the trend with regard to the current economic crisis.

With 8 new members, following on from the annual Selection Day, the events proved to be a delight for visitors.

This year, the Society has invested in new exhibition boards. These will serve us well for years to come.

The committee has worked hard to promote events through local newspapers, magazines, radio, signage and local media.

We were also delighted this year to support a local charity. St Nicholas Hospice received in excess of £1400 from the society. 20% of net profit and local collection boxes at each event, achieved this wonderful donation for such a worthy cause.

We plan to hold 3 exhibitions again in 2023 and look forward to supporting another local charity. For a more interactive experience, we are hoping to offer demonstrations and ‘vote for your favourite painting’, at each event. Hope to see you there!
